Again absolutely Amazon typically the unit was 2 days after the order at the door, even though a delivery time of up to 6 days was originally estimated by the turn of the year. For this purpose there is simply nothing to say. As for delivery times What is Amazon World Champion so I could drive the ugly tube telly for recycling in the old year.
The design of the device is done quickly. Stand clicked, fixed with 4 screws, finished. Unfortunately, the base is significantly lighter than the Samsung's my what probably should be noticeable in the stability itself. Funnily enough, LG recommends the manual and the installation of a safety rope so that the TV does not fall over. But as long as you do not have small children or curious pets, but I think that is excessive. The base holds the TV in my opinion, sufficiently stable.
Now the wait began. Thanks to the damp cold season was reflected on and in the device that is down quite a lot of condensation. So you should always let electronic devices around 30-60min "rest" so that the moisture can evaporate and the device also survived the first switch-on.
The waiting period will provide an opportunity to deal with the connections and peculiarities of the device.
DC positive eye struck me here is that the device has an easily accessible power switch, over which one can fluorrescent complete the television.
The 3 HDMI inputs can be somewhat scarce in the future. A satellite receiver (which is not installed), a BD drive and a game console or PC. To ensure that all connections are used then.
The two Scart connections are positive. So I can my old satellite receiver and the DVD player only once further use for some time.
When initially powered on the same reports the Setup menu. The necessary adjustments are made quickly. The menu is clearly structured, intuitive and logical. A very positive experience for the time-consuming and nerve-consuming set-up orgy on my Samsung.
The search of the DVB-T transmitter takes a long time and then sort is so typical Korean chaotic, but at 32 stations fortunately still quite manageable for my feeling. My Samsung tinkers here on a similar principle, but this really is no more joy for hundreds of satellite channels. The other manufacturers can better. Here the Koreans to be more user-friendly.
Very nicely solved: the Quick Menu. With a key to get quick and intuitive to all basic settings of the TV. The menu is small and transparent and clamps unobtrusively in the lower left corner of the screen, so that the TV picture is not hidden when you adjust.
The most remarkable feature can be found in the audio menu and is called "Clear Voice". The lifts out the volume of the language a bit, so that one in normal viewing even at a moderate level yet understand what is being said. The feature works surprisingly well and the background sound is not distorted significantly. I have in this quality never experienced and excited me absolutely.
The image quality of the LH4000 is beyond any doubt. Of course, it does not reach the brilliance and contrast of a screen with LED backlight, but we remain realistic times. Such devices cost currently still well twice. In the market of conventional LCD screens LH4000 plays very well with up and does not need to fear ahead of the competition.
Even from the analogue Scart image conjures up the LG something very ansehliches, so I'll probably keep my good Dreambox 7020 for some time as a satellite receiver. In 1080p material there is nothing to complain about. The picture is sharp, color-rich and evenly illuminated. The contrast is absolutely fine, often fail dark scenes anyway rather the often lousy variables imagery on BluRay.
Summary:
+ Very good picture and analog video sources
+ Good sound quality without sound system
+ Intuitive menu guidance
+ Many useful features
+ Power Switch
- Only 3 HDMI inputs
- Unit not (not provided by LG in this series) with built-in satellite receiver available
- Set station sorting / Favorites list somewhat awkward (not relevant if you use an external receiver)
Conclusion:
The LH4000 gets from me without any ifs and buts 5 Stars.
Picture and sound are excellent, especially if you betrachet the low price of the device. The menu is pleasingly well thought out and a lot of good features help prove the value of the unit significantly.
This TV I would certainly buy again and would recommend it in good conscience.
