No, the five episodes is longer than 90 minutes. Thus, the player gets while still good cook to approximately 7.5 hours (depending on the player), but gets little opportunity to deal with the individual characters. It will take place here and there a usual small talk, but significantly reduced, compared to the first part. As a result, it hardly comes to emotional outbursts through losses. A short, "what a pity", but no longer shock. Why is that? Telltale Games is to become transparent?
Yes and no.
Yes, no matter which alternative you choose, of / the protagonist / in dies either way.
No, they are still the shock moments, but they fall considerably lower than in the first season.
In addition, a real identification to other players hardly takes place (of the group). We mainly play Clementine as a character and often behave like a grown-up and mature person. Of course you can now follow the argument, "Yes, at what she's been through," that's no wonder. However, this is my honest designed specifically to easy. Telltale Games has her so convinced in the first season of the story in every episode that they were shocked with every loss. The latter applies here but unfortunately not a single time, because it was clear who will die. Another negative aspect was the shortness of the episodes. Whether it was now the fact that Telltale Games has been working on the wolf among us by the way, was once an open question. In the first season, we were able Total Subtotal 9 and 10 hours imbibe the atmosphere of The Walking Dead, which was topped by a brilliant story. Properly has captivated me in this season only one episode and that was the last. One partially got the impression that the developers did not himself know where we are going and attracted some episodes unnecessarily lengthened.
The really intense and strongest episode was clearly the fifth and thus last episode. She had made up for much of what fans of game series have often missed time. Only the five different endings are a bit too much of a good thing and have in the circle, in part, led to heated discussions.
I was really looking forward to the sequel, because we all wanted to know how it will go with Clementine on. The final product has but mercilessly let me down after only two episodes. It really is difficult for me to join the positive reviews because the descent was clearly visible here. The three stars I have the game the only reason given, since the last episode again strongly reminiscent of the first season and reached with the various ends exactly what it once did ... too valuable discussions about the choices in friends and acquaintances.
When Telltale Games for the third season (scheduled Herbst'15) nothing comes up with new, this game will be a 08/15 game. One can only hope that it does not come as far.
