Emotion Light - The Next Generation

I have seen the Living Color 1st generation last weekend with friends. First, my light is not noticed - but the presentation of the lamp was not long in coming for too long. As soon as the plastic ball my eyes were turned as if attracted by a magnet - a eye-catcher! The eye-catcher had succeeded and a new friendship began. I fumbled certainly around half an hour with the remote control, because me the color game has fascinated again and again. After the evening it was clear - this lamp must also decorate our living room!

Not a day went and I looked at Amazon after said light to - one thing was clear immediately - the 1st generation was no longer up2date - the 2nd generation is announced. However, I recoiled when I read the bad reviews - a tremendously disturbing Fiepton be heard after switching on the lamp. However, it is not an isolated case. I just hoped that I get a "good" copy or if I'm out of luck.

Today they came - the lamp should be our living room a certain kick. When I ripped the Amazon box and have looked at the box of Living Color was directly clear to me - the lamp was not a virgin! Now to my review:

+ Great color game - very easy to use, many shades, brightness and contrast adjustable dimmer
+ Intermittent wipers in different speeds can be programmed
+ Designer piece - not everyone likes the design - I find it appealing and fits well into our living room
+ Power consumption is optimal thanks to the LED technology
+ Remote control with radio technology - ideal for couch potatoes who want to regulate the beloved sofa even without line of sight the color;)

- To be able to wrap cloth bag around the lamp. What a quark - who already drags his lamp around the area? Since there was a ring including aligning earlier times, that's really a trigger point.
- Remote consumed due to the wireless technology too much power and may affect the WLAN network. Provide the best wireless network on channel 13, then there are no problems.
- Housing the lamp is only made of plastic - would be nice glass
- Power cable a little too short (1.5 m)
- The is priced 50% I can not confirm with the comparison of the first generation also. Maybe 10-20%, but 50 appear much too much for me.

Why 4 stars?

Actually, I'd lamp, give only 3 stars because of Fieptons, the bag and the choice of materials, but the play of color attracts me such a strong spell that I can confidently place the 4th star and also want to! The lamp is definitely an optical Highlite with a few minor weaknesses. If the hum disappear and the equipment would be somewhat high, I would attach the 5th star immediately. So it stays in the 4 stars!
