The best: the cover can be easily disassemble and clean in two parts, so that there is nowhere sleazy corners. Lids and cups can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
I have long considered my Liqui Seal mug to buy, because he was the only real proof drinking cup on the market. However, I thought from the reviews of the people who drink the milk in her coffee. Reports on amazon.com about how the cup because of insufficient cleaning ability slowly starts to smell musty, did not really animated me to buy. There's even a YouTube movies about how such a Liqui Seal lid after a while use looks from the inside. The film is short but impressive unappetizing.
In Emsa there seemed initially problems with the lid from stainless steel City Mug. The reviews here on Amazon have been there very helpful. This also let me just hesitate to buy the rubberized interior. I have therefore first called and inquired at Emsa. The lid was really mosquitoes and has been completely revised. The new colored rubber Mugs have all improved the lid. Whether you caught an old or a new cover at the Stainless Steel Mug, is a matter of luck. However, the part has 5 years warranty. Lt. Information Emsa there easily a new cover on presentation of proof of purchase.
Too early happy:
After about a week I have to use to revise my good opinion unfortunately. I agree with the reviews for City Mug Stainless Steel on: The cup saut the last sip the coffee across clothes, desk and papers. This has nothing to do with the upper closure, the coffee runs between lid and cup (above the stainless steel ring) from.
Here comes the next change (13:10:10):
After I really miss the great beaker very, I called again at Emsa and asked for a way to somehow still to seal the cover, perhaps with a wider sealing ring? The result was that the rubberized Mugs contrary to the first information but do not yet have the optimized cap. The area is still in the works, the completion can probably last about 8 weeks.
There are probably still hoping for coffee-with-milk-drinkers :)
Update 22/09/11: I've gotten 3 varieties cover with various rubber seals: A very flat and a slightly thicker with a bead and a very straight, short, but very thick seal. The newest cover at the rear edge slightly raised, so that the coffee does not überschlabbert there. On the "improved" cover I have waited many months. According Emsa but I can fortunate, because the Customers (the name escapes me) a specific thermos had complained have been waiting for the dense cover well for 2 years.
Result of all waiting: The cup is still leaking, it has null null nothing changed. I tried a variety of cover-cup station wagon, unfortunately without any success.
Another call to Emsa has unfortunately brought nothing, you just asked me, but please explain the problem in writing so that the Qualtätskontrolle has something in his hand.
But when I'm working, summarizing the problem in writing, rather then here at Amazon. As someone interested at least for that.
