This book, I imagined rather razor is actually very enjoyable to read and we learn a lot about this part of Napoleon's life. The author's style is not pompous. The references and anecdotes abound. I will almost say that the story is exciting. You enter straight into narration and "history" of the book is moving fast.
It just made me want to read the first two books in this series. So I am delighted and I recommend!
