For a lot of my work, I use a Makita 6319. This is a 12V three gear wrench with approximately 2,5Kg. Is a super device. I do not for some of my stuff but too heavy and too big.
Requirements were the weight and length of the screwdriver. The length should be equal to my preferred hand screwdriver, because I want to save me yes work and not always have to turn by hand. And the weight should be much lighter than the 6319.
So I went in search of information.
The market is full of models. Which brand is the better, seems to lie heavily on personal taste. Problems of one form or another are accused of all brands, makes no difference.
An ordinary drifter I have. Although is a model brand "revenge construction market", but enough for the few dowel holes. So I started looking only what for drilling and fastening.
The impact wrench (TD090) interested me. With 155mm it is short and weighs only 900 grams. A percussion drill hammering from behind on the drill, like a hammer on a nail. An impact wrench can be imagined as a wrench for rotating the screw and the hammer strikes in the direction of rotation on the wrench. There is hardly back torque and the hand steered it thanks a. The ears less because of the impact wrench but quite a bit to make noise. One bolted to a beam barely notice the noise. You screw much in a cabinet or something that resonates, then you should use hearing protection.
The bit holder locks the supplied (long) a neat bits. Short bits (which you probably already have) disappear deep into the recording. Bits without chamfer not snap. The bit holder is non-magnetic, I miss that. Although a normal magnetic bit holder fits and then takes the short bits, but is already 5 cm longer.
But the torque balances all already almost out again. in Inet there are plenty of videos on that rave about the lack of rear torque. And so we have the TD090 easy times our 3 year old daughter into the hand. You must comply with the screwdriver while holding in both hands because the handle can not include a hand, but the screws (6x60 or above) the Papa has just screwed, it can turn out with no problem. That was impressively seen.
The handle fits well in hand with glove size 8. The rear side of the machine is nice around, so that you can easily press with the other hand, if necessary.
The driller (DF330) is 189 mm long and weighs a kilo. The food spans well and runs smoothly. One can unscrew to replace or if it should be broken, the constant feed exchange, it is not intended (ie not as with the Metabo PowerMaxx). The 1300 rpm are some little small drilling diameter in wood. However, much faster turns no model in the class (the Dewalt 710 makes 1500 rpm). A 20's hole I have tasted in wood. A hole is, for many holes I'd take my big screwdriver.
If you want to change the torque from the DF330 screws to drilling, then you have to pass through all the stages. This is solved in the 6319 better, there is a separate switch. With two devices, however, you do not change so often. The TD090 does not place any torque limitation and you kan the blow. The strike is a soft and uniform sink screws it takes some practice, but is doable.
If you want to only pre-drill and screw, then two machines are super handy since reclamping is omitted. The built-in LEDs are reasonably bright, pencil on dark wood one sees but still bad. Drill bit or cast a shadow, centrepunch helps there. I would have liked the ring of diodes DeWalt 815, but is more difficult and I'm not sure if the 710 has an LED.
The included flashlight (ML100) lights throw evenly without pattern or shade. The supplied bits fit the screw heads and do come. The drills have the usual problem with the hex. When the small diameter of the hexagon is a sleeve and the drill is not inserted at all just in it. The 8mm drill translucent to be in one piece, not the wobbles anyway.
The case is ok, but has no designated space for bits, drills and holster. Delivered everything is well packaged, once used then is all accessories only so loosely around the trunk. Bits and Holster have yes no sharp points, but the drill to poke into everything.
The non-magnetic bit holder is perhaps no star trigger value, but the accessories so loose in the case that need not be.
As Kit are TD090 and DF330 have been a good buy for me. If you want a compact drill and screwed a lot, then it certainly will not regret in any case
