The operating menu still works as you would expect from its HD and non-HD predecessors, but there are a small pitfall:
Recorded programs could be in all (I know) Technisat firmware versions previously on the "Menu" -> "Music / Pictures / Manage Movies" - "edit their own recordings"> and start a final OK to the desired program. This no longer works when S2; the receiver returns only after OK back to the currently running TV program.
Instead, the "Nav Menu" is on the blue "Fast Forward" button -> "Movies / DVR" display. Next, we go through the "My shots - DVR". So stehts but also in the manual.
Who has multiple hard drives for recording the TS streams in use, should be ensured that each individual had been already registered at least 1x the receiver.
Of course, 2.5 "-USB3.0 plates are not an obstacle without a separate power supply for the receiver.
Let's see whether the S2 remains convinced by the stability described.
Addendum on 04:01:13:
Meanwhile, the S2 has yet been fired 2x. Once he gave up when playing a recording, which he had previously recorded himself.
The other times (yesterday) was particularly violent. It crashes and starts up again, showing the TV picture, but no sound. Even by changing to another station (or a recorded program on its USB port), he is not to move to the reproduction of the sound. Complete shutdown of the S2 and shutdown of the TV set also useless.
Only after the Philips TV has also been taken completely from the 220V power supply, there was sound for picture. Conclusion: The crash of the S2 had torn the HDMI connection to the TV set behind him, which had to be re-initialised after a complete turn off the TV set.
Thus, the S2 has far reached the susceptibility of the S1 (with me); the just described (really brutal) failure of S1 has, however, never made.
