I bought the Consono 35 Mk3 set on an online platform as new. The boxes are with me for more than 4 weeks in use (ca. 3-6h daily). Is sonicated a space of 35 square meters. My current user profile is as follows.
: User profile:
TV mode: 45% (Dolbi Digital, PCM and DTS)
Bluray / HDD movies: 35% (PCM, DTS, DTS-HD)
Music: 20% (stereo)
Amplifiers:
As amplifier Yamaha RX-V475 the AVR`s and the Onkyo TX-SR 333 were available. The Consono system makes both Versärkern a good figure. Makes the boxes appear slightly more powerful while the Yamaha AVR through the boxes on the Onkyo softer and harmonious (subjective impression). I decided after a few days for the combination SR 333 and Consono 35 MK3.
: Data and impression:
I would like to briefly summarize the performance together again.
The satellite point of a 80 watts continuous power and 160 Watts Peak Power. The masked frequency response ranges 150-20000 Hz. The woofer has a diameter of 80 mm. The diameter of the tweeter is 19 mm. All satellite are configured identically on the performance. The down-firing bass features a 250 mm woofer and is expected to reach a cut-off frequency of 36 Hz with its 150 watts according to the description.
Both the satellite with their 1.25 L and the sub with his 45 L cut a good figure. Effects and language come very good effect, and even the smallest effects in the background-surround are audible. Really surprisingly good way, comes over the bass. With Timo Esser`s Audio software the Sub speaks noticeably starting at 25-26 Hz and therefore exceeds the specified in the terms of reference value considerably.
What irritates me however is the resistance indicated on the back of the Satellite. There is pointed at an impedance of 4 ohms. This caused me indeed severe stomach pain since the SR 333 from Onkyo (for example) only accepts from 6 ohms upwards Speaker. However, it turned out that the devil boxes have a "maximum" Wider Stang limit of 4 ohms. In nominal control mode (40 to 50 after the Onkyo-scale - for my ears loud) this limit is not reached. I use the boxes usually to scale 40 (Onkyo). At this value, the impedance between 4 and 8 ohms. Operation with a 6 ohm AVR vice In my opinion, therefore no problem there. The AVR heated only to slightly increased hand heat. In stereo mode, the speakers listen to decent and do not have to hide in comparison to Magnat boxes from the small series monitor Supreme. Only in stereo mode pull the magnate boxes over their 42-34000 Hz.
However, these are all just subjective impressions.
: Conclusion for me:
Effective system delivers a very religious union home theater sound and still very decent scores even in stereo mode.
UPDATE 01/12/2014
It is advisable to make the crossover frequency for all speakers to 150 Hz (maximum 130 Hz). Many AVR`s the preset Stand. value is 80 to 100 Hz. Here's a way too big hole in the freq range to boxes arises because the range of 80/100 Hz to 150 Hz would not cover. Here, the sub has to show what he can do.
