Although the Connect has no extremely high resolution and in such devices provide the display makes a big difference in the price. But it may be reasonable to work with it.
It even has a quad-core processor, the - as far as I can tell - allows smooth working. The Pops for the price is especially the telephone / 3G function and that already 4.4 Kitkat is it.
Which in my experience at Odys hardly an update is expected at a newer Android. This is what distinguishes many Android devices such as Apple devices mE. Basically, this device will therefore eventually to quasi disposable items, unless you have no security concerns. (The service of Odys or Axdia sitting in Germany, I can from my own experience quite as positive.)
Oh yes, the camera (s) can be forgettable. Skype can be so reasonably (because it front a VGA camera has), but the rear 2MP not even enough for snapshots mE - too fast the image is completely blurred.
Another negative point was the slightly small memory of 8GB, which can however be expanded via an SD card. But whether this additional memory can be used as well as the internal I can not say.
Otherwise you can do with the device actually everything you can just do with a tablet or smartphone. Emphasized ;-) is still the GPS function that makes the device a more or less complete Navi. Where do you get a 7 inch Navi for around 100 euros !? There are even free navigation software, with offline function that has even led me on trails in the forest. Already alone this single feature is mE already worth the price of the device!
I would like to highlight that the device even works with value and comfortable in the hand, thanks to the rubberised back. It is also very shallow and pleasantly light. Chill works for me on the other hand an iPhone 4 like a log. However, the size also prevents you sometimes just puts it in his pocket.
And so I have arrived even to the point that everyone must decide for themselves. Who really needs such a "phablet"? For home, I would rather a 10 inch Tablet grab and go is you may better off with an approximately 5 inch smartphone. Connect with the costs only a fraction of the other two. I can not imagine that someone Odys constantly rumschleppt with him when he already has a large smartphone namely me.
But that can, as I have said to decide only every man for himself. The Connect anyway, is a great device at a fantastic price.
