These recordings of poems and songs of Tolkien "Lord of the Rings", arranged by Peter Hall in my opinion are a musical masterpiece, and make a pleasant change after the hype surrounding the film trilogy. These are the setting of the complete Tolkien poems and "travel songs" of known epic. The musicians are all very capable representatives of his guild and so it surprises the listener hardly that all work will be presented at the highest musical level. But this is precisely an issue which critical fans irked, because in addition to the elven songs, in which the musical claim may well be justified, and the merry-folky imaginary Hobbit songs one track to come in concert therefore. But I think that for the sake of conformism not accomplished musician should see a reason not to exploit its full potential and therefore there is no star deduction.
