Counterfeit batteries in circulation

I ordered a genuine Canon Battery Pack LP-E8 on 25/10/2011 on the Amazon Marketplace. The delivery was very quick. As the battery was still in a genuine Canon packaging and labeling was largely identical to the acquired with the camera on my battery, I went as a layman believe that I have earned a favorable (30,00 EUR) original battery.
Unfortunately, the battery had to store twice on his mind. Since we have a Canon works representative in Hamburg, I went there to check the battery and if necessary for replacement.

There I had unfortunately heard with horror that it is a forgery. An exchange was thus rejected.

The counterfeit batteries you recognize
a) at the weak somewhat fuzzy label,
b) to the lower weight (39 g instead of 50 g - which you will unfortunately only be available if you have researched a bit on the Internet who otherwise already weighs its batteries).?
c) to the somewhat loose fit (but also falls on only when one knows)

I have now written to the dealer and wait for a return statement.

My advice: closely examine and, if necessary, return it to you on the Marketplace ordered batteries. This saves a lot of hassle.
