But if this knowledge is required to write a good thriller is not sufficient and style, sense of intrigue are mandatory components to the success of a good novel ... Unfortunately, it lacks, in my direction (which is largely not universal since this book was awarded the dock goldsmiths 2009), a more percussive style (a must in this type of literature) and some additional ideas for walks the reader (I found the murderer half the book), the result of various false leads and to frustration and the desire to learn more ... Illustration of these shortcomings: the explanatory end dialogue. More than regretting this passage, not very original but sometimes necessary (and indeed present among the greatest authors of the genre, Descosse comes to mind since I just finished its "Red Covenant") to complete the book and remove from the reader any lingering misunderstanding, dialogue -donc- end of this book is particularly out of step with what we would like a final explosion. The style is too slick, lack of sharpness (after all there have been deaths and they have just arrested the murderer, it's not still nothing !!!) and this dialogue is like a very academic chronological summary of the book: "If, dear reader, you should not have any follow-up, here's a summary of what you should have enter" ... Pity me with generosity and understanding of life in the ultimate explanation!
In the end, a thriller not unpleasant but which left me on my hunger ... The more I advanced and I felt the author's stylistic qualities distress ... certainly a first relatively interesting novel, agree, but for the next, it will take a lot to hold on to me ...
