some events are a bit illogical in my opinion (for example at the beginning, why has created here as a dramatic situation only because of a drop of blood? As James Bella attack in Twilight she was bleeding from several wounds, which was much worse than the small cut with a blade paper, yet in all the Twilight Cullens enough self-control had while being the only consequence in this part seems the family is leaving Forks -. illogical but, well, somehow one must create an action apparently :))
generally yield some things (at least for me) simply does not make sense when one considers the whole knowledge of the Cullens / vampires in general. I can think of now, unfortunately, no longer a precise scenes (what :) not just support my argument, admittedly) but I can not remember me sometimes thought when reading to have: OK, the results but now absolutely no sense!
BUT (big but :)
despite small weaknesses in individual scenes of this book is as great as the first part. Of course, in a completely different way, less (for many perhaps too little if you look at the other reviews as regards) Edward / Bella infatuation, more focus on Bella alone (or with Jacob but actually it is about Bella's Edward Sitatuation after they leave has)
Sure, New Moon is kept very dark and depressed as a whole but we have to distinguish between:
"Badly written" (which it is not for sure)
and "does not fit me what turn has taken the action after the first part" (which many other readers / their reviews certainly was the case :))
It is well written, extremely exciting - I found it even more exciting than the first part.
Perhaps this extreme suffering and depression, this completely and totally devastated and destroyed-His Bellas for younger readers (which indeed prop. The target audience are) between about 13-17 years (yet) but I found incomprehensible S. Meyer has described really empathetic and realistic.
So, the book is definitely recommended if you read Twilight !!
