The headset looks absolutely top notch - no question. At least if one stands on the "vintage look" of leather, perforated grip tape, and gold. The lacquered in glossy earcups are unfortunately a little prone to scratches. After unpacking my copy had unfortunately been a few micro-scratches on the surface that is in brisk use certainly not be better - I personally find but not dramatically. Now for processing: hinges for folding the earpieces are not equal on both sides with low or smooth. That's a little ugly. In addition, the pull of the ear cups for my taste does not lock a firm enough so that the length of the headphone sometimes accidentally shifted during assembly or discontinuation. What I have done me worried is the processing or winding of griptapes and whether this holds good long enough. All I can say anything, of course. And now for technology: the connection to the smart phone, tablet, or any other audio source is quick and easy on the hand. I tried it with two smartphones and a tablet and had none of the equipment problems or connection failure. The connection remains even over several meters (tested up to approximately 8 meters by 3 walls) stable. What bothers me personally, are the noises that occur after connecting. So long runs still no downloadable music, that it is quiet in the headphones, you can hear a slight noise, whistling and whispering. When listening to music that is not dramatic, but I look at the tablet often movies or series. When then in quiet locations this noise occurs, that's ugly. I can not judge whether this is a fundamental problem with Bluetooth headphones, but it bothers me anyway. Now for a - for me at least - serious shortcoming. The small LED on the right earpiece lights depending on the operating state blue or white. This is basically very convenient as it recognizes whether the headset is ready for coupling, is not coupled etc. What bothers me, however, is the enormous flashes of the LED every 8 seconds when it is in the coupled state. The LED is so bright that when watching a series or a movie in a dark room this is evident in the 8-second intervals and is bathed in blue light. My wife twisted evening already only irritated eyes when I put the headphones to watch another episode of a series before going to sleep. My first impulse was simply mask off the LED - which would, however, limit in the other modes meaningful per se function and secondly perform the elaborate design of the headphone absurdity. Frankly, it is a mystery to me why the headphones must indicate the fact that it is connected to an audio or telephone source by blinking. For me personally, a useful function the top of that annoying. Who from this little - added extraneous (but for me as described above disturbing) - can not be put off details and the noise with silence, which I can thoroughly recommend the headphones. I'll send him back despite the beautiful appearance and test a different model from Philips.
