After the relatively short period of use following experiences that are mainly on the differences from the TZ5 (many recessions vrhanden) relate:
Positives:
+ Extended focal range of 25-300 mm, with 25 mm nature
Distortions occur
+ Streamlined housing than the TZ5 and so pocket friendly
+ Camera tripod thread now in the middle and thus more stable state
+ Video mode expands on AVCHDlite (compliant with PAL 25 fps). The
Recordings can on appropriate TV and BluRay players from Panasonic
are reproduced directly from SDHC card.
Recording in MOV format (30 fps) are also possible.
+ Video recording with stereo sound now
+ Extra video trigger key
+ Panorama Wizard as an aid to the inclusion of later
PC composable photos (ie not integrated panorama function)
+ And other various small changes
Performance and image quality are compared TZ5 not noticeably better, but just settled for a compact camera at the top. The HD video resolution of 1280x720 also remained unchanged.
Unfortunately, there are not only improvements over its predecessor, which is of course not be seen from the advertising.
Negatives:
- The battery has been changed, is smaller and much more expensive. Out
a forum, I learned that a chip is integrated in the battery
and so the replica is made more difficult by cheaper third-party.
- The clips recorded as AVCHD videos to run both on the PC as well
the Panasonic BD35 is not as fluid as clips as MOV format
recorded and then converted to AVCHD on PC
and fired.
- The start recording video with the video button leads to
about 1 sec. long dark phase of the display. This lose
moving engulfing objects very quickly out of sight.
This is a very big disadvantage!
When TZ5 the video mode is previously selected, so that the
Display before recording starts at 16: 9 is changed and so no
"Blackout" is created.
- The TZ 5 had an overhead function in which the view angle so
was changed so that the display diagonal was clearly visible.
This feature is absent in the TZ7 and is allegedly only at
the TZ6 available.
Conclusion:
All in all a recommendable camera, especially if you want to take photo and video with one device.
A switch from TZ5 on TZ7 worth not really, unless the new
Functions are required.
