The SSD solltre accelerate my computer Built in 2008, running under XP SP3. To avoid problems with the motherboard out of the way I informnierte me before buying an SSD bez. compatibility.

The manufacturer Crucial has created a Kompatibilkitätsliste on its website, on my motherboard (ASUS M2N32 WS Professional) was approved for use with the 60GB SSD.

The installation went smoothly, the Bios (latest version) recognized the SSD immediately. The operating system also move went smoothly with the help of software from FarStone DriveClonePro. Acronis should work just as easily, but did so only ioch removals from HDD to HDD performed. A Neuinstallatuion of XP and other software so it was not necessary.

To protect the SSD is however advised that personal directories to move "own data", the temp directories and the cache directories for Broweser on a hard disk drive. Also, I would advise you to move the Windows swap file. Tips to can be ergoogeln.
