The Keyboard:
She makes a very high-quality impression is stable and according to my perception it looks very good. The keys are made of plastic and are easy to press. The volume could be described as rather medium loud. It is actually quite quiet for a mechanical keyboard. (Previously I had the G15. According to my experience the G15 is a little louder than the G910.)
Even the touch of a button, I feel as pleasant and excellent (The G910 has a shorter path until it triggers as the G15, but the pressure to go for the push down the keys needed I feel the same.) In games they reacted very quickly and precisely. Even the normal text writing I find enjoyable and not burdensome. (People who very quickly writing and via the keyboard when writing slide, which could interfere with the individual edges something. But you have to acknowledge that the keyboard for the gamer range is made and not specifically for the office area.) The state is also very good and it does not slip while playing.
The lighting is more intense than with my old G15 but it's also not too intense. It is very well done and you can see the writing on the keys clearly and distinctly. Although the keyboard backlight is off, I feel the typeface of the keys more comfortable than in the G15.
Software:
After I connected the keyboard, I was surprised that the gaming software, the keyboard is not recognized. The software was already installed with me on the PC because I operate a mouse and a headset from Logitech. On the Logitech website there are PDF documents for successful installation. Namely, the software must first perform an update. You have to go to the main menu on the question mark icon with the mouse. Then a blue arrow "^" is visible, which opens a menu. There you can click Update. After the 64 MB update has been downloaded and installed, I was able to control all functions.
The possibilities are endless: you can either choose prefabricated profiles or each key even choose what color they should light. The effects you can run fast or slow. Brightness can be set to different degrees. One can even be evaluated which buttons you need to frequently etc.
Arx Dock Release:
This feature is not relevant for me and I have not tested. From my experience I can say that I have seen very little on the LCD display with my Logitech G15 and it did or anywhere else used neither in games.
Criticisms:
A USB port would have been nice. Audio jacks for headphones or microphone could all improve again in addition. Some people complain about the rubber cable of the keyboard, but it does not bother me so much. The software contains minor bugs that have yet to be eliminated. for example, when I played a game not overclocked my graphics card down in the Idle mode. If the software is uninstalled works of Idle mode back to normal. What exactly is the problem, I could not find.
PRO:
Very high
+ Very precise in operation
+ Keystroke very pleasant
+ Two palm pads
+ Lighting very good and bright
+ Software easy to use and clearly
Contraindications:
- No USB interface available
- No audio jacks for headset
Conclusion:
I find the Logitech G910 Orion Spark as a very good keyboard that makes me very happy. I personally can ignore safely on the smaller blemishes. Whether you ever get his dream keyboard remains so I think still open, but this is already close to Ran. At the end everyone must decide for themselves whether they like the design and whether you want to have the features. I would recommend it and the keyboard again to buy.
