melancholy feel-good music

With this album, something very special is the newcomers, I think, succeeded in recording a same round round longplayer, which equally makes good humor and melancholy agrees. I know of no other CD, which is capable to afford it.

On spherical piano and sound carpets the voice of frontman Tom Chaplin from song to song worn without stress will be lost. I just smile at the name of the frontman he is a funny expression of how Keane sounds. The restrained Weltschmerz-Tom meets Mr. Chaplin, confidence and wit radiates. What a coincidence!

Very personable, the band comes across well live. Antiheroes guys from around the corner, Normalos who achieved something and hopefully remain as they were around the corner.

A few slices enjoy several years my sympathy and be dug out regularly. Hopes and Fears is one of them, namely you!

Keane have in quite overpopulated Coldplay-, Supergrass-, Idlewild- and Beautiful South - your firm, earned place corner; distinctive, authentic, sympathetic synth Brit-pop of modern coinage. Very like more of it!
