I bought this camera (with kit lens NX300M, black) a few days ago directly from Korea via eBay for a total of 520 euros, because I Self-Shot function was quite important and I also usually reluctant to buy products predecessor. Complete problems, both the camera and the attached Adobe Lightroom to be used on German and international warranty card is enclosed. Upgrading the firmware of the camera bodysuits and the kit lens was as possible as usual.
General
I have the camera now for about a week and quite a few photos, mainly portrait and architecture / landscape photography. For starters, I have created most of the photos in the smart or Aperture mode (Fixed aperture, shutter / ISO Auto). Are a few exceptions, all the photos even under difficult conditions (exposure, etc) become very good, especially the accurate color reproduction and good sharpness convinced me. Practical I find the function "dynamic exposure" (simple variant of HDR), which it has done to me for architectural shots. To succeed HDR similar photos even without a tripod.
Differences to the NX300:
Self-Shot works very well. Operation is in easy and in conjunction with the Smart Mode succeed good photos, even a nice bokeh is generated. Of course, for most people mainly a gimmick, but if you actually need such a function (for blogs, Instagram, Youtube etc) the NX300M is certainly the first choice. Where here a manageable lens with short focal length (eg 20MM fixed focal length) is recommended. The zoom ring of the lens kit you can during a self-shots eh not obscure sense.
From Tizien operating system as a user you realize anything, the menus are still very similar to other Samsung cameras. They are intuitive and delay to use. The camera starts up quickly (which was pointed out as an advantage), but I have no comparative value.
Conclusion
Nevertheless, the differences are clearly marginal to a current charge of ~ to justify 400 to 800 euros. For my paid 520 euros I am however satisfied. Should adjust the price soon, you can resort to NX300M!
UPDATE:
I now have about 2 months, "spent" by the camera and major weaknesses are not noticed. By the time you realize, however, that the automatic meets some dubious decisions in terms of aperture / exposure / ISO. But I would anyway recommend any one of Halbautomatikmodi to use (such as Aperture Priority), especially because in the fully automatic mode, no RAW files are created. More Tip: You should definitely purchase additional lenses. My personal favorite is the 20mm F2.8, it is preferable that the focal length is perfect for snapshots and the intensity allowed for portraits beautiful bokeh.
Review will continue to be updated continuously.
