The processing of the printer believes in order and the print result for a business inkjet printer. Print jobs are executed swiftly; also copying and faxing is fast and reliable. The printer works quietly compared to a laser printer, and if he has nothing to do, he's quiet as a mouse.
The ink tank for black is twice as large as the other colors, which is people who primarily print Text pleased. Of course you can replace each color individually.
The installation is very simple. The manual does not require you to do so. Only the telephone connection is somewhat hidden; you have to like open the top cover when clearing paper jams and the cable internal tempt some.
The Driver CD is not needed if one wants to use the device as a pure Nezwerkdrucker and scanners. Windows 7 detects the printer automatically and sets it as a printer and scanner. Everything worked fine here.
Leaving you there with the driver, the Windows will automatically install, you really only get the driver without annoying additional programs and order-now-more-ink-Here !!!! - notes, felt open to every 10 minutes.
There is a Scan to E-mail function, but this I would not use it for confidential documents, (Amazon Cloud) will be sent as the scan data to a server here in the US, and the US authorities (NSA, etc.) of have there access to all scanned files. The use of this feature, however, is hidden in the menu option, and something deep. The printer asks in advance if he can connect to the Internet, and it's pretty much guarantee that you somehow activated and used this function inadvertently.
The menu structure of the printer is easy to understand. You can tell that the Japanese to do something difficult with German (some messages are correspondingly funny), but everything is still in the green zone and no rough Error "eindeutschen" made.
There is a firmware update (currently probably version "F"). Aligns to the wireless connection for the printer, you can access this via a web browser and can be updated from there the firmware. Also can be in the web interface of the printer cloud printing set (and - thank God - deactivate!) And check the ink levels. But be careful: There are apparently no password protection for the web interface; anyone can access it internally and change settings at will!
Incidentally, here written that you have to connect the printer via USB to wireless connection. That is a possibility, but you can just as well in the printer wireless menu to manually configure. Typing the encryption passphrase then turns out a bit difficult, but doable.
