I was really disappointed and wanted the mega already send back.
I read everywhere that should be very bassy. When I tried these headphones for the first time on my iphone, I was disappointed. Because bass was there barely audible. Mids and highs were super clean and clear, the highs sound almost too bright.
On the laptop the sound was the same. Midrange and treble super, bass barely perceptible. Despite Equalizer adaptation hardly improvement.
Then I closed the m50x on my home system and heard the same song / movie on the laptop as before ...... my face I was scared what then off we went. The bass was simply amazing. Just as I had imagined. Even rather low frequencies plays without a murmur from, and in such a way that you can hear that too loudly. Especially with such films as "The First Avenger 2" (much Geballere etc.) the m50x made a madness figure. The bass was gigantic in contrast to the laptop and Iphone. Now I know why he should be "bassy". Just the thing for me. He is not intrusive in the bass range. But when a car exploded od. Similar., Then I expect a clean Tieftongewitter. No dull rumble, but clean elaborate bass with neat level. And that's what he has !!!
On the problem of the lack of bass .:
The headphone socket on laptop and cell phone is simply too weak to reflect the potential of the m50x. I was not clear, because the description was so, that should be distinguished by its low Ohms specifically for portable devices such as mobile phones this product. But that's only half the story.
