Ext. Drive is not quite as fast as an Internal, but I can install original CDs of my other drives (tested total of 4 LW) for whatever reason, can not be read. Works indeed but is not silent on the DVD does not look disturbing. Design and quality first impression absolutely satisfactory. If you expect at this price even more looks past reality. Just buy it !!!
