Have applied to fondant (freshly modeled) the spray. Find the use of a bit difficult because the spray button works very strictly. Either it comes out only air or you get a whole lot. If you spray from about 20 cm away and caught too much, the place you will notice that a very high gloss, acting metallic silver. Can also look beautiful; but silver for my purpose. Did it only once managed to get a very subtle pearl effect, without that it looks silvery. Looks very pretty and keeps wonderfully. Then spray not necessary. Probably you would have to spray from 40 cm distance, but then the kitchen after silver. Overall good, albeit expensive - Under Pearl effect but would only imagined "pearl" and not a "silver".
I lack on the product an application description and info if you can use it after opening until the expiry date (in my 1.5 years durability).
Taste difference on Fondant: Yes, depending on Verwendungsmege; not bad but already clear (slightly vanilla) to taste.
