Shaving succeed basically quite well with this device. However, one must be a lot of time and more frequently shave over the same spot in order to obtain a satisfactory result. The best results are obtained if you shave dry. Although to shave in the shower is quite pleasant, but then it takes even longer.
For shaving the legs I think the device is inappropriate. The hair on the legs are too soft to be shaved decently with the Bodygroom. On a wet razor to get the leg area probably you should not settle.
For the intimate area and armpits of the Philips Bodygroom is however well suited. The hair in these areas can be good trim and shave, and with the necessary patience to stay no stubble and hair left.
You should generally use caution when shaving with the Philips Bodygroom, since if the skin is not completely pulled tight can easily happen that you cut yourself. This can still happen even with mounted trim attachment. If you drive too fast with the device on the body, it can also happen that hair was not cut, but already hanging in the trimming zone of the cutting head. This way you can easily pull out a few hairs or inflict at least quite a pain)
But if one has only once a bit of practice and not shaved in a hurry, then there are no problems.
The battery capacity is sufficient. If you have not, however, shaved and then longer needed when shaving a little more time, then it can easily happen that the battery reaches its limits and greatly decreases the cutting force. Then it is better to take a break and recharge the device again because it more easily can then cause injuries. The charging time of the Bodygroom is tiring. A "just short load and losrasieren" is not possible. One should always charge it overnight in the charger to shave the next morning can. The time he needed.
However disappointing is the life of the appliance. Meanwhile, I have my second unit, because the first was broken after nearly 2 years. The button of Bodygrooms could not get past the turned-position and the device lies no longer be switched off. In the absence of alternatives in the razor market I still have gained me a second Bodygroom TT 2021. Unfortunately, yes it brings no other manufacturer completed a comparable product on the market to position. The competitors with wet razors and trimmers (Brown bodycruZer) are not real alternatives, because then I can shave wet equal.
The second unit has been broken after a few months. The cutting insert no longer holds the device and fall out during shaving. This is because the plastic clamp in the head of Bodygrooms wears out pretty quickly. Va if you want to clean the application after each shave. With a bit of tape you can use but stick to the instrument ... Although that is botched, but before I invest now another 35 for a third Bodygroom I wait until hangs in the housing and the second unit of the button. Then he is really broken: D
Two bought Bodygrooms and both broken ... very disappointing. But since there is no alternative, I'll probably set a back, but once this is damaged it is returned to Philips. This stress I wanted to date but does not hurt.
The service life of missions is pretty good for the rest. In now more than 3 years of use, I have bought only a replacement application. That now I use the shaving head 3. (1 of each Bodygroom + 1 spare).
Would I recommend this device, I do not really know. It performs its task, but the susceptibility to defects seems to be very high.
