In total there are frankly little new material, Djawadi reacquaint his old themes, such as the still brilliant main theme, which is varied very epic again just in The Children, as in Myhsa in Season 3, but You Are No Son Of Mine leaves the piece in a beautiful choral version resound.
It's also nice to return the King / -Lennister theme is great: In First Of His Name the piece is played only very church and imposing, until it is then varied very bleak and distorted (has to always adhere to the perhaps most influential scene from the Season think). Even the Winterfell topic from time to time returns to very discreet trains and sounds almost like a melody to suit the red wedding!
Most of this time is used but the Rains Of Castamere-topic, not only in the score, we also get a new version on the CD eingesungene donated, unfortunately a bit short.
This soundtrack is Djawadi again concentrated more on dark rhythms and action passages, based on the battle of the wall. The highlight here is Let's Kill Some Crows mention, a great action title!
Even if the titles are sometimes a bit messy (not chronologically), the Hörfluss is yet again very beautiful, just at a time convinced again the music and lets flash memories of the series! The term of the CD is almost exactly an hour and offers again a great cross-section!
Conclusion: Despite little new material, again very successful and atmospheric, dense score for this mega-series! Season 4 is total at the level of Season 3, and now I wish for Season 5 like some great new themes!
