And they do it to great effect.
At first listen, I was delighted with the haunting melody and tone changes late in the song. I was force-fed me on YouTube during the 48 hours that have elapsed between the official launch and the ability to purchase the title in France (the clip is very nice too).
But the CD includes an invaluable gem: the Alternative version of Élan.
If the title track is enjoyable and accessible, the Alternate version was clearly not intended to go on the air: such a piece frieze that most film music is unfortunately not the seller. But this is a masterful power that gives you chills from beginning to end. It is there that this piece is the real pearl of the CD.
I am a little less Sagan fan that has a very catchy chorus but moves me unless Élan.
It is clear that for the release of the album, I'll take the 3CD version that includes the orchestral tracks.
Special mention to Try Donockley who joined "officially" the numbers and whose involvement seems very marked. It is now a musical mainstay of the group and not just a "guest". To my greatest pleasure Breton, of course!
Despite all the questions that relate to a Nightwish album on the other, they surprise us again and again. A creative model.
