Do not upgrade the firmware!

Almost two years ago I bought the Galaxy S Advance and was very happy with it until a few weeks ago.
It was my first smartphone and I did not want to miss. The transition from a simple cell phone on the Galaxy S Advance proceeded without difficulties. For Skype it was suitable.

But then the devil rode me and I listened to Samsung Kies, indicating a new firmware available.
I assured my data and played on Android 4.1. An evil error !!
Unprecedented problems occurred: The screen froze or smartphone hung completely on.
The memory was packed to capacity with the new firmware, everything was correspondingly slow.
After a week ordeal I decided to reset to the factory settings.

While this brought a tedious, painstaking detail work until everything was re-established, but did not change the state. From Samsung Support, I sent an email, I received a 08/15-response with multi-page description for backup!
The upshot: I put myself to a new smartphone and let the fingers future firmware updates - if not to be read in the popular Internet forums positives.

Who owns the Galaxy S Advance or wants to purchase and at the original Android version 2 will remain, however, has a reliable and robust smartphone that I can only recommend.
