"Scar Heart" is a cooler, but more rock opening track, we had a good text. "Do you know that I'm happy?" is one of my all-time favorites. A good and personal text, a great package and a very nice sound characterized this song for me. The song reflects the evolution of the last two electrotechnical disks back to the rock very well again. It sounds like the eighties, yet alive and unsophisticated. "Depression" I find it very successful. Again, a good text and a successful arrangement. I like Jaki Love Wedding drums and the saxophone clear. "It goes on," is the next great thing. A simple Haudraufsong with roaring vocals and a good riff. Good to rock. "Freedom" follows here a nice short ballad, an almost classic song. The (again) good text began with a drive through Paris. Two, three years later the song one of the songs was the turn.
"Take me with you" is a love song, most likely you have Marius Müller-Westernhagen so personally experienced only on its first disc, as with some of the songs here. The reason you see (covered) on the cover. "Love me", a song with a lot of soul, a love song without kitsch with a lot of feeling. "Hey Mom" is a loser story. Reminiscent of old Marius times. The final "Not at all", another beautiful and personal love song for his wife Romney, at concerts for all other couples.
The board offers a great sound, somehow European / British and American less than its "classic" plates. The sound of the two electrical previous LPs can be heard here and there, but there is a lot more guitars and the sound is rougher and rockier. Not a bad song. For me personally, one of his best albums, is for me as well as ever to my Westlife top. 3 Commercially the great success but only came up with the successor albums.
