I ordered the Supplemental Nursing System (BES), in the hope that I can increase my milk supply over and come to full breastfeeding. This did not work out with us, I have a BES but also used for one week only. For me the baby's applying to the BES was a problem: The little one has immediately got pointed that the milk comes out of the hose and then just tried to zutzeln the hose like a straw. On the chest it has not well anchored. I then repeatedly created anew, so often that it was frustrating for me and the baby. Eventually, the little one is then fallen asleep in frustration. As she has gotten in this way in the long run less milk than in the bottle, we are then switched back to the bottle, to avoid endangering the development. Conclusion: It depends on the situation - when the child is well and easily docks despite BES, it is certainly a great thing, to increase milk production. Otherwise it's not as helpful.
