Funnily enough, says WMF in the description of the Diadem pots following:
"This is what distinguishes a high-quality cookware:
- The pot body is stable, hard and therefore more durable.
- The floor is cooking on plan and the energy is thus optimally utilized.
- The handles are ergonomically designed and are ideally not hot when cooking. "
All this impinges on the Diadem Plus Set actually not really: The pot body is thin sheet metal, absolutely does not work hard and stable, the floor is not just plan on full surface, the handles are welded with only four small welds - for the WMF points must be said: The company is their own claim not here do justice. Of course, no "Made in Germany" can be seen in the floor, the set comes from the Far East rail of WMF. For WMF that may be a low-priced set, but if the set is also convenient if you omit the name and just consider what you get there, that is the question. At a promotional price of 99 euros, it is a Einsteigertopfset that works fundamentally (the Transtherm-ground works reacts quite well with induction) - no more than that, however. Over these 99 euros, I would never pay for it, and that's already borderline and not a bargain.
Who wants to cook ambitious attacks certainly something else. For me, WMF has squandered his reputation here, it's hard to see what can be better at these pots produced in the Far East than the cheaper competition. For the regular 130 euros you will certainly find it at Amazon with other pot set, which are under construction-quality. Since then you pay the money for the pot, and not for the license to be able to attach three letters on the cheap Far Eastern Cookware. As Tibetan bells Music Set the pots are but certainly not bad; Just snap against the edge of the pots for a little flair of Tibetan prayer music.
[Update 02/27/14: For plagiarism the brand WMF by yourself you can find interesting articles on the net. Just google for "SWR Marktcheck WMF" (Marktcheck from 23/08/2013, video at 18: 03min, here you can see exactly the difference in the thickness of the material), or "NDR guide WMF" (counselor from 02.04.2014, also here the place with the cut-pots). In principle, not "Made in Germany" pots are what otherwise counterfeit products, same inferior copies of the original (thinner material, inferior workmanship, inferior in functionality and quality). But where other brands protect their brand against cheap imitations, since WMF sold the license to the low-cost carriers to be able to officially adhere to the inferior imitation the WMF logo. WMF sold it were his own "pirated", rather than clearly sell the cheap line for consumers by the "Made in Germany" line. The pot of the same line (indistinguishable at first glance) can therefore have very different quality - exactly as you know from cheap illegal imitators otherwise. This is not paranoia, which has been repeatedly demonstrated as in the above-mentioned programs. WMF drives a line bordering Verbrauchertäuschen that but sustainable ruined the reputation definitely. The "traditional company" is really on sale as it seems - and final. Since I know that I read the short "Whatever WMF is super toll" 5-star reviews here with great suspicion. It would not be the first paid campaign valuation of a company to limit the damage. Read rather the reviews, go into detail on the product, rather than cheering-blah to offer only superficial. I'm going to do in the future to WMF products a bow, who wants to be "Premium manufacturers", but is not open and honest with its customers, with whom I can not do business]
