The housing makes locally the impression one can get from the article pictures. Brushed black aluminum with plastic sides. At one with the USB 3.0 port the board for mSATA SSD is attached. The latter is simply clicked into the board. Therefore, no screws for attaching the SSD to the motherboard are needed - and therefore also not there. So who needs such screws, proposes here no 2 birds with one stone.
However, there are 2 screws with a screwdriver while. These are used to fasten the side wall to the plate after the insertion into the case with this.
Of course, even while a USB 3.0 cable.
The whole comes in a small cardboard therefore, without guidance. But such is not necessary.
After connecting Windows will install the necessary drivers automatically.
Caution: For me, the housing including SSD worked only to the USB port directly on the PC. USB Hub + USB extension cable have not delivered enough electricity. To what extent this is due to the board of the housing, I can not say, but the SSD is very power hungry, especially when you connect (2-2,5W for the combination of SSD and housing, in idle about 0.75W), hence I push the time now on the SSD.
So I can for the time being recommend the external mSATA housing of Digimate. I see at least no reason to advise against it.
Since I only have USB 2.0, I can not serve with relevant transmission rates. Complains you if the successor technology is already available in the PC and notebook / netbook manufacturers, obstruct the current techniques always only (default).

The case - at least with the drivers that Win7 automatically installed for the housing - sent to the computer only its own identity, not the SSD behind. Ie he Samsung software for SSDs, which searches for an existing Samsung SSD, can not be used because the computer no (Samsung) SSD is known! This applies especially for the Samsung SSD840EVO Performance Restoration tool for firmware upgrade and troubleshooting of 840 EVO mSATA SSD. In this respect, the housing is only limited use!
The reversal was so straightforward and "pleasant" as one is used by Amazon itself, so I can only good things about the seller!

I've gotten another, significantly more expensive housing:
This has USB 3.0 and eSATA. Even with this the Samsung tool refuses to recognize as valid the Samsung SSD SSD. About eSATA but it works, so I assume that either USB in general the problem here, or Samsung's Tools has set picky when it would be needed.
In this respect, I can recommend to anyone that Digimate housing (s. Original review above), the Firmware Updates its SSD (at least for Samsung 840EVO) does not rely or an internal mSATA connection for such cases has available and to not need the external housing ,
