Why I bought the second Lumix after the first dust-experience?
I was very happy with my old, smaller camera, easy to handle, flattering in look and feel and with good image results for a very small camera. But the dust .... I thought then that it was an unfortunate isolated case and I would have probably still treated somewhat unpfleglich and bought the new, slightly larger Lumix. This I treated with kid gloves, but I eventually had the same result: dust inside. Quite obviously a systemic error.
Another thing about image quality:
The DMX-TZ 18EG-K is not nearly as good in the image quality as the smaller, older Lumix. While the push is really a pleasure but unfortunately only at optimal sunny conditions possible. Outside and in good light so you can shoot great close-ups. Provided you do not want to take pictures about very showy flowers in the sun, because the sensor is unfortunately not point to make sharp .... The lighting is dim this camera bends then a total, there are many images of outrageously poor image quality, total pixel garbage. And when shooting at dusk or in the interior remains so little left of the image so that it can bring tears to your eyes on the computer at one then views the images sometimes. The image color is less appealing, everything always has a bit too much cyan, which leads in all not absolutely sunny motifs that the pictures seem a bit bland and a total dead. And ultimately, it is even the case that can be clearly better results can be achieved if you choose a setting with fewer pixels instead of possible 14.4 megapixels. Here was decisive obviously pure marketing value in equipping ....
Meanwhile, I've actually decided because of all the points mentioned to reactivate my old, smaller Lumix. The lint on the lens is considerably smaller (....) and the camera itself simply makes much better pictures, beautiful, natural colors, much less Pixelbrei and to use handy, fast and easy.
And the next time, pending purchase it will probably no longer Lumix .....
