The Sony hotline (with costs) could not or did not want to help me to stop working with the installed system. The installation of an existing W7 Ultimate (32-bit) was difficult. The necessary (?) 27 drivers you can indeed Mr. undercharged at Sony, but it seems a certain installation sequence needed (which is of course not described), so everything works without conflict. So times (free) call in MS. With Anytime Upgrade no problem, it said. Looked on Amazon and ordered the same. Accustomed fast the package was (only contained the serial number) supplied.
Due to some reviews here, I had to order the concern that it would not work so simply. But these proved unfounded. Made a mandatory full backup, entered according to supplied description, serial number, about 7 minutes and a reboot later was upgraded to Ultimate.
Now I can go to use my beloved but W7-incompatible GetItOnCD Steinberg in XP mode or run it under W7 in the XP window, a virtual W7 for testing programs, the days still installed.
And yes, my subjective impression was confirmed :-)
