We needed a replacement for our in the older DECT phone (which always really warm ears led) and on the occasion of the same with less radiation.
The Swissvoice Avena 758 has cut in the tests that I could find on the Internet well, and according to my interpretation of the best.
A very successful for us Extra is the integrated answering machine. So again we have more space on the telephone table.
The most important feature for me is the call. And the rest is to be as easy to use.
The phone came to us as opposed, because I had nothing at all to adjust to it. Even the eco mode was already preset.
But since it depending on type phone users in the assessment are differences, a few key words, how do we use the phone:
- The device is usually made at night in the charging cradle. If we forget, then the next day. Since the bar still shows but full charge. More than one segment in the charge indicator we have never seen disappear.
- We do not call all day without pause. But calls by more than 2 hours may occur and are not a problem with the phone.
- The AB letting on. When we are there, we go faster than ran the AB (the period can be set).
Under these conditions, the phone is functioning properly. The voice quality is very good. Better than with the old phone, say our interlocutors.
The AB is very easy to use. We have the standard message left equally active. The times where answering machine sound like robots, we seem to have behind us. The announcements are supplied fine.
Criticism can then practice at most in detail:
- The ring tones are not so nice. Playful electronic sound, which does not fit the Eco-Feeling. Among all selectable there was nothing better, so I resigned at the end I left the default.
- After about 20 to 30 minutes, the phone beeps twice. I do not know why, thought only of the battery warning tone. But the battery is still full and you can make calls on forever. The other warning reasons, which are described in the manual (eg range), do not fit.
- Provider code: A code of a preselection provider can be set fixed only for the election of the telephone directory. For other calls you have to type in the preselection number always. And for the phone book entries, the number will then always be dialed, even for local calls. But it works at the most reasonable suppliers not offering namely only long distance calls. Then you have to disable the provider code and run only the local call. Our old phone could differ already. Since most people now have a fixed flat rate, but this is probably more of a fringe issue.
Conclusion: For normal phone users with flat rate I would give it 5 stars.
For the stupid ringtones, poor preselection programming and the irritating beep from a I prefer.
