In the box: phone, a small charger base (discretely magnetized to the upper part to hold the soft phone), a phone cable with RJ-11 connector of two sides and an adapter to plug in T. The instructions supplied is unfortunately a start guide, steering the Philips website for a manual worthy of the name. Rechargeable batteries are pre-installed, there are 2 AAA NiMH batteries, easily replaceable in case of failure.
The build quality seems good, although the phone and its support, the coating "shiny plastic" (for the most part at least), are not really upscale. The design is nice, but I was not overwhelmed either. It takes very little space: practice.
Small disappointment on the screen: if the choice of a monochrome display (white on black background) is aesthetically successful (this is also an element that had rained on my Telefunken), the display quality is rather poor: not very readable screen, contrast too much with varying incline; does not allow the graphics display (alphanumeric, the other digital, and some icons.) note, "photos" visible on Amazon are actually CGI. However, the keyboard is really successful: pleasant to use, easy to read backlit.
In use, an obvious downside: the screen is hidden as soon as the handset rests on its base, it is not possible to read the name or number of the caller without entering the handset. Too bad, because I like that opportunity. If the phone rings, a very discreet orange LED flashes on the handset (this LED persists if we did not respond, until we checked the list of missed calls.) The few rings have me not at all convinced, including about the volume too low even set to maximum. Another note, the information display on the screen seems pretty mess (too bad it is not a graphic display!) While navigating the menus is not always easy (but there is maybe just a matter of habit.)
In contrast, seemed audio quality (tested on a freebox) as combined listening in hands-free mode. Note the "eco" function that will interest those who want to reduce their exposure to electromagnetic waves (the number of manufacturers now offer on their phones.)
Overall it is quite a good phone without crippling defect. There are some points to be improved ergonomics, due to some design ... Which did not really convinced (that is totally subjective of course!) The price seems reasonable, even if other brands offer "First Prize" phones (like the model that I bought recently) fairly close in terms of features.
