What this is super useful, is the remote programming. Means: I sit on the train or anywhere else and look at me on the laptop, smartphone or tablet via Panasonic app through the television program of the coming days and look what sounds interesting. A click ... 4 seconds wait ... and the mission is programmed. In the clarity of this service is certainly still room for improvement. Since I have already reached the limit of 2x 32 timer settings, but it does not seem to be so bad.
Thanks to the 2 built-in receiver, it is possible to record any problems 2 shows parallel and a third that has already been recorded to look. What does not work is to use an online service, while recording. Since my TV but also has Smart TV, that's no problem for me.
What perhaps should be of interest: The unit is super quiet. The hard drive is only in a quiet room perceptible and the Blu Ray drive is worlds quieter than, say, the PS3 superslim (My biggest ever bad buy But: see below).
That there is still potential for improvement is clear, which is quite a subjective point of view. I find the DMR-BCT835 for my needs awesome and unfortunately did nothing comparable with better ease of use found. Whether a cut avid amateur BluRay "burner" which looks exactly as I can not judge. I would buy the Panasonic anytime and just hope now that he loooong long does a good job.
