Leapfrog - 80885 - Educational Game - My Player Leap Card / Tag - Globe Interactive (player not included) (Toy)

Customer Review

This interactive world map TAG works with the pen drive that is not provided with the product. Big disappointment in that direction because I had misread the description and I had not seen the Tag Reader pen was not provided. But hey it's my fault but if I'm an airhead, it can happen to others.
It's still annoying to designate this as an interactive world map in respect of sale of the product, knowing that it is interactive if one owns or buys the pen apart.
For cons, the idea of discovering the world by touching the card with the Tag pen is very interesting and fun. Children 4 to 8 years can discover at their own pace and have fun information about the world. I started by testing the game with the children without pen. So it's 2 card on the same base (front / back): a "physical" card that offers the opportunity to learn information about the animals, landscapes, children of the world and a map "policy" presents the country.
No pen, we can still address the notions (and names) of countries, distance, discover what a legend. Some animals and where they live. The colors are bright and attractive. It's mom who says instead of pen.

I knew a friend who lent me the famous pen. This makes it immediately more interesting and fun things. The interactive activity phenomenon is effective. This will test their knowledge with quizzes and treasure hunting games, what one can not do without the pen or so old, oral questioning of parents (that is certain is less fun!).

The price of the pen is however a little discouraging. Alone or with the book, it's not donné'il no more than talk to grandparents or to ask the question, is this just a gadget that will delight children by its novelty or effect quickly disappear fashion? Is it better to the film or animated book? (It is certain that if you buy the pen to the world map, we will buy books then to cushion the purchase price)! In the case of the world map, it's still a price to pay even if you can then use the pen with books. This is a budget too high for my taste. " I prick pen time to time my friend and you'll have it. Aside from that, it's an interesting idea and fun but expensive if you do not already have the famous pen.
