Re entertainment but hardly something new

And again brings the Assassins Creed series shows a good game that knows how to entertain until the final reasonably. You play for the third time now Ezio Auditore, now already advanced age (he is 52), and explored in search of important keys, which should lead to the Bilbiothek his ancestor Altair, the Konstantin Opel the early 16th century.
But as nice and fun, the new setting and the little gray-haired and wiser Ezio may be, really from the stool skin a the game stops. It is just simply nothing new, this part acts as already Assassins Creed Brotherhood more like an extension of Assassins Creed 2. Except for a few minor changes, such as the hook blade or the various bombs that you can put together their own, there is little new to discover. The graphics has only minimally improved. Only that's not enough, the familiar gameplay now comes another versus Brotherhood pretty bland story. Ezio travels to Constantinople Opel, precisely in order to find those keys that open the library Altair and it should therefore allow Ezio to learn more about his role that he plays in the whole history. By the way it mixes even in the intrigues of the Ottomans, and fought the Templars. However, it lacks so distinctive characters such as da Vinci, Machiavelli, or even great opponent like it was Cesare Borgia in Brotherhood. Quite often I asked myself in the game, what I'm doing right now actually, or rather to what end. The short game sections, where one slips back into the role of Altair, can not hide the fact that Assassins Creed Revelations again only comes as a better extension of part 2 and the player because of the easily consumed game principle and the rather boring story, not longer really able to motivate. In any case came with me no more this addictive on how even in the 2nd part of the series or Brotherhood. In my opinion, the developers have to first take a break after Brotherhood, before they come up with a new part. Then surely graphical progress would be visible and it would have possibly given gewesesen more innovations. At least that is somehow the feeling that would have been possible.

What else is there to say? The playing time is quite tight, but made me the time did not seem so great disturbed because the story has as I said in the meantime very lame and I just wanted to know what happened with Altair or how ever all with Altair, Ezio and Desmond is understood.
But then actually a more sobering: the end declares one of these gods (or whatever is says so right a the not) that a great misfortune long time ago, people afflicted and only a few survived and Desmond specific to a must travel place where these gods had worked or something like that. At the end so more questions are back in the room, as there are actually answers and you will not escape the feeling that the whole story to the developers a bit outgrown so and they even not really know how it all tidy to bring the end. Anyway, the story has been since the 2nd part always abgespaceter and acts, after having now played Revelations, a bit too much cobbled together and constructed.

So I hope, therefore, that a possible 5. part finds its way back to its former strength and my skin again from the stool, both in terms of innovation in gameplay, as well as graphics and story area.

Conclusion:
+ Setting is refreshing, the Orient is shown convincingly
+ Smaller innovations like the hook blade, the bombs or the "turf wars" between Assassins and Templars fit well into gameplay
+ The short game sections with Altair is a good change and it's funny to see how Altair has moved with eg 82 years

- "Reform" It is this smaller new features not the gameplay, and you need them, up on the hook blade, not really
- The graphics are minimal with the exception of the improvements still Assassins Creed 2
- The story is quite long-winded and dull and can not really convince by the lack of exciting characters
- The main story is not clarified again convincingly at the end were at least with me again more questions than answers in the space

As the game but overall without the context of the predecessor a good solid game is of me anyway 4/5 stars.
