To put it straight to the point: It is recognized that "A Matter of Trust" technically and musically become a solid and well-produced album, but those Dark Age fans who have been relying on the metallic sounds of the band, should quickly check off this. One can certainly call an evolution of the band, if you - like In Flames - is more and more melancholic pop structures in the songs. There new fans are achieved and radio friendly songs are casually considered also. For all metal fans who appreciate a metal Attidtude and Metal riffing and live hoist the clenched fist, this album is an electro-pop-metal disappointment. Pop songs in Metal-robe - if the band really want? I'm afraid, yes. Pity! You were once a great band!
