I originally bought this antenna, because the assessments were mostly good, the price low. I would recommend it even if you relatively close to a transmitter resides (in my case, about 17 km distance). Some of the channels are relatively weak, especially ARD and some of the WDR transmitters. Otherwise, the reception is flawless.
Sometimes you have some direction of the aerial. I have learned that the small rod antennas have on both sides of the circular main antenna hardly any influence on the reception. Anyway, in my case, you could leave them out also.
The mechanical assembly, however, is very weak. The screws that secure the ground, are too small in diameter, and even fall out easily, only by the adhesive rubber covers kept. Therefore, the ground can not be sure tighten. The main antenna is also mounted very poorly, with two screws (which however fit) and a bent sheet metal part that loosens with time. It was somewhat laboriously, to open the device and the plate to bend so that the main antenna sitting more tightly.
All in all, I am relatively well satisfied with the electronics, but the mechanism is very bad - at least you could have used screws to the proper diameter to fix the floor. However, the part still holds and the price you can probably expect no great stability.
