The fixture takes (measured) just 15 watts of power and is a good working light. The cable, however, is much too short to realize a reasonable connection. I have the rear lid is opened and a connection cable HO5VV fitted with terminal strips with plug. The re-placement of the lid with the seal was a bit fiddly. It was noticeable that no Entstörmaterial was visible and a test with a shortwave receiver showed that the headlamp emits broadband noise over the entire shortwave range. This is likely to adversely affect not only Powerlan data transfers, but also widely disturb radio services, which is why the use is not recommended on ships and near ports / airports. As a work light for occasional use but probably tolerable.
