This device is subject to a serious design flaw. At each emptying a small amount of water coming into the interior and thus directly to the control electronics. The electronic circuitry is shorted through the water and activates the device from time to time itself. On the other hand the rust pressure switch hard and refuses to function.

There is exactly the same device (not AEG) branded, with probably the very same problem ....
