The BDP5600 is exactly the same as the BDP5500 connected, the installed FW 1:16 instantly updated to the latest FW 2.10.
After a day following disappointing (especially compared to the BDP5500):
Positives:
+ The player starts with a disc already inserted without locking up (really sad that one the case of a
Must evaluate machine already as positive).
+ Custom disk eject button
Negatives:
- The player is still slower than the BDP5500 in the operation and response
- Sound asynchronously when playing BD but also SmartTV content
- No Maxdome App
- When playing back media libraries of TV shows often "3D active, please put on the glasses"
although the content is 2D.
- Sometimes in the ZDF remains open Meidathek the picture is black and the sound is gone
- When playing back from media libraries and YouTube image every second jerky.
- 2 times I had undefined trailer of the device, but could resolve at least on Standby button located.
Although much has not yet been tested is already clear, the unit goes back and I
stay for the time being the BDP5500 until I a reasonable unit and certainly not from Philips
have found!
In conclusion, I must say, it's a real shame that Philips after months or even years
neither the TV software, nor the player software gets reasonably stable.
