Pouring:
As with all kettles, water must be poured slowly so it does not uncontrollably side runs out at the cover. When it but hurry, helps here following:
Once the water is hot and the kettle is still standing vertically, pressing on the lid release button on top of the handle. The lid adjusts to vertical. It escapes the great steam. Now the water can be poured quickly. The erected lid prevents steam when pouring comes to hand. (When pouring the kettle is horizontal, as a result, the established cover also horizontal and the rest vapor rises up in front of the cover where the water is poured out - not by the hand!) It is important that the lid opening button is pressed while the kettle vertically is maintained and thus the great surge of steam can escape first to the top!
Cleaning:
If you (eg a week - depending on water hardness.) With a sponge - if necessary with some vinegar - ausreibt the ground, there is no calcium deposit can form and the cooking process remains quiet. For this purpose it is necessary to completely remove the cover. The lid is attached right and left by a locking top of the cabinet. To clean the housing inside, the lid can be easily released by pressing a button on a push button inside in the middle of the lid and removed completely. Just as easily use the cover again and put into place audibly. The kettle has on the spout (attached to the lid) a strainer made of plastic, but it is unnecessary by regular cleaning and can be easily removed.
Shutdown:
The shutdown after cooking is automatic (but takes a few seconds) or by switching the on / off switch. By taking the water tank from the base, the switch also returns to Off and the kettle can then simply empty again be placed on the pedestal.
Plastic components:
Have long sought a stainless steel kettle with no plastic, but unfortunately the lid is also here inside with plastic parts. Useful is the plastic ridge on the top front of the lid. For one can thus push the still hot lid until it clicks. (The cover is hotter than the housing wall outside!) The rest of the cover-exterior is stainless steel.
Cooking without plastic is also possible:
You can alternatively hang another lid of a saucepan on the kettle, but must then absolutely fit (or he may possibly fall off during cooking). In addition, the automatic shutdown only works with lid. The best thing remains standing, if without the original cover Boil water. I've even tried with a well-fitting lid - and it has nothing wobbled and the automatic shutdown worked! However, one must then wait briefly until the water no longer boils and loose lid then decrease rapidly (due to the rising steam!)
Too bad that there is this kettle with 1.2 liter capacity - which is almost perfect!
