So unpack, CD into the drive, install the software and then connect the converter via USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port to the computer. Windows recognizes the new hardware and prepares its use before.
The software is really very very simple, but the quality of the recorded material does not interfere with that. It creates an MP4 file, can play a Sony Bravia TV easily, for example.
A tiny expansion of the program could be but really use: Before recording you can set the length by selecting the appropriate time via drop-down box. Here I would like to see, you could enter the time and simply would not be so limited by the predetermined times (180 Minutes 30, 60, 120,).
In principle, the capture is as follows:
1. Start Software
2. Define a "movie title"
3. Determine how long to be recorded
4. Select the signal source (S-Video / Composite), 4: 3/16: 9 Set
5. Start recording
6. subsequently set and store beginning / end marks
After the last step, the hitherto existing temporary TS file is converted to an MP4 file and could proceed with another recording.
In this way, I have now been "saved" all sorts of videos from VHS tape. The cost is low, because after all, you can make the images keep unattended and by specifying the max. Recording time you do not have time to be quite place to stop the process.
For me, a strong buy recommendation, so 5 stars.
