So far, I can only be full of praise for this little thing. I use the Raspi as a media server with RASPIAN or XBMC as OS. I can manage it best with my Ubuntu machine. Goes well with MS but is somewhat more complicated. It recognizes all the video formats that I set it before, incl. MKV without problems. BluRay formats such as M2TS are also no problem. Absolutely smoothly. Attached I have a 3.5-inch HDD with 1 TB and a USB hub. I can stream through my network and power the HDD via LAN with replenishment. Would I for larger files larger than 2GB but not recommended. But takes a long time because transmission speed just below 1 MB is. But for photos or MP3's which is very convenient. Very cool is the XBMC app that I can use as a remote control. Since we have all smartphones each its own remote control (not always beneficial). So I just buy it ...
