This book takes us into situations where such knowledge live not at all correspond to our reality and where it would be very awkward to apply (we become rude). Because good manners change over time (a very good book to explain this history of politeness: Revolution to today). Rather, it concerns a higher class of society and ultimately, Baroness did not raise entirely vulgarities of everyday life but of a very different class person. Moreover, it addresses in a rather this type of people.
Otherwise the book reads easily and so quickly. It gives small nice anecdotes, good advice on recipes, wines and years on the same system. The issue was re-marked and it's nice to be able to notice. The only thing I regret, however, these are the photos that illustrate the book: old and have mostly not related to the book and show rather Baroness in various places at various times in his life ...
