The French title a bit sensationalist does not reflect the seriousness of the content, which is not serious at all incompatible with a reading much more enjoyable that the translation is very good. The book describes the difficult birth of quantum physics, the concepts put in cantilever those of classical physics. The characters are engineering physicists, with sometimes conflicting conceptions (Bohr and Einstein), who overcame the many obstacles on the way to the development of new physics. The history of this intellectual adventure is exciting and well described in the book, which can not but interest anyone wanting to learn about how basic physics developed in the twentieth century. Undoubtedly, a book to recommend.
