From a strictly technical point of view, the game is absolutely maddening: perfect graphics, animation and very satisfying gameplay, spectacular cinematic scenes, and especially a vast universe with original dungeons and much larger than usual (their level design is Remarkably, one approaches the level of Metroid). It is therefore clear that the achievement was made by experienced teams. The sword is less easy to handle with the wiimote but the fights are more immersive, that's the whole point. There are some passages very intense horse that will remain in our memories, just as the first passages in wolf mode which are very friendly. Additionally the game is very long, which is a good thing.
Unfortunately, it seemed clear to me that the atmosphere of this new game was less involved than previous. To tell the Wind Waker had me distracted or even Ocarina. The look of the characters is sometimes quite calamitous, with the notable exception of Link and Zelda are both superb. Bosses are too easy to beat and present no real challenge, the music is good but not memorable (if not downright dull except four or five correct themes), and especially the various areas of the game, very large, are fairly empty, lack character. There are very few quests, few NPJ (NPCs) with whom maintain interesting conversations, we are always reduced to a main quest line that becomes really late. The second half of the game is frankly buggers: it connects the last 5 palace without even needing more explore the outside world, and it must be confessed that it becomes tiresome. The hidden caves contain nothing interesting in their majority, there are very few new characters to meet, the city of hyrule is almost empty (there are only 4 stores !!!), and The story is pretty telephoned and contains only two or three real twists (which is seen arriving as big as houses elsewhere ...).
In short, Twilight Princess is a perfectly controlled exercise in style but lacks genius. This is hardly acceptable: it is indeed more difficult to produce work up to that was done by the graphic designers and programmers, to invent a scenario a little more interesting and enrich stakeholder mini-quests . So be warned: this is a beautiful and dynamic Zelda, but much more action oriented and that bourrinage puzzles and riddles. Too bad, we should not make this a habit.
