In addition, a program for deeply discharged batteries is still available. Here, however, to note that at least 2V residual voltage is still present, otherwise the MXS4003 not switched to store.
Supplement this: In order to start the charging cycle, the charger requires a minimum battery voltage of 2V. This means that the charger is not capable of a deep (st) to load discharged battery (eg side lights started over days and battery is completely depleted). It just lit only the LEDs for power and settings, charging will not start.
Connection is via a quick connector plug. For this is a quick connector cable with good stable terminal connections for direct connection.
In addition, the kit includes a waterproof quick connector cable M6 cable with eyelet terminals for 6mm screws. This serves to connect directly to the battery, so that the charger via quick connectors if necessary turn can be connected quickly and easily.
That I bought additionally adapter cable (CTEK 56260, identical with the enclosed M6) having an excellent workmanship and recommended without restriction. The nachzukaufende M8 cable (CTEK 56261) is offered with the same picture as M6. However, it differs qualitatively extremely on the M6 version and is therefore not recommended.
There is also an accessory cable for charging via the cigarette lighter. It should be noted that the cigarette must have continuous current, so also works without the ignition key. In modern automotive this is rather rare.
The connection of the charger is with built-in and attached !! Battery possible. The voltage wave form is accurate and can not harm the electronics in modern cars (wording CTEK). This was one of my reasons for buying.
The charge itself is fully automated. The status is permanently displayed via LEDs. An overload is not possible. The charger automatically switches to trickle charge mode and can, theoretically, remain connected for months.
Addendum 09:06:11: Some reviews I have seen that the charger was considered flawed because the last LED is off for maintenance charging even after a long time.
Please note: overcharging damages the Bleiakku extreme. Have a healthy battery, there is a very very low self-discharge. A trickle charge is not necessary, then the 4003 does not switch to trickle charge mode. This may take many days. Your battery will continue but monitored at the charger attached.
